The Charlottesville Threshold Singers

Singing for Healing, Comfort, and Peace

The Charlottesville Threshold Singers honors the ancient tradition of singing to those who are ill or dying, for their caregivers, for those who are grieving, and for others in need of musical healing. When invited, 2 or 3 members come to sing. Those we sing for are invited to join with us in song or simply listen. We vary our selections according to the person's situation and wishes. We sing in hospices, hospitals, nursing homes, and private homes. Our singing is a gift - there is never a charge. Our repertoire includes rounds, chants, lullabies, and other music chosen to provide comfort through the harmonious blending of our voices. Our music embraces the traditions of many religious faiths, love of others, and life itself. We rehearse on Wednesday nights, and new singers are welcome at any time. The national website www.ThresholdChoir.org explains more about this worldwide organization and can locate choirs in other cities and abroad.
